    • Hugs to you, Meghan. Thank you for that. I’m glad you have enjoyed what I have been posting. I’ve learned a lot myself. I guess it’s important to know the bigger picture. After all, we’re not alone in this as we once though.

  1. Its hard no matter who you are, walk of life. I’m divorcing after 28
years. I got the verbal. Constant criticizing. always my fault. You have been taken care of! After trying to break my neck then shoot me Im done. Our son told me to go to hell because i had him arrested and will not drop charges.Right now that hurt is small compared with all the rest. Counseling and group is the way im healing. Dont waste time with all the false promises. They put on fronts and then treat you like property!

    • It’s sad when you think of how many years we let go down the drain, even if there are pleasant, non-abusive moments strewn throughout the years. Thank you for your comment and I’m glad you are moving on with your life. Verbal abuse is just as bad because over time it truly breaks down your spirit. There are days that I wonder how my husband will react once I leave and all the false promises he will attempt to throw my way, he just doesn’t understand what the years have done to me. He thinks because he is “trying” to be nice now that it erases the past. It doesn’t and never will. Good luck to you. Be safe.
