Not really in love with these words this week…Ronovan. However, I do love how cute this little chickadee is. Aww!

You may change your situation but did your mind stay in it?
For those who believe that love is love, that men and women - while disparate in many fascinating ways - deserve equal respect, that every right and dignity should be given to LGBTQ individuals, that oppression based on class and race is wrong in every sense of the word, and that basset hounds just might be the solution to most of the world's problems/harbingers of global peace.

This is why I do NOT cut down a tree for the holidays. I used to but have since come to realize that I cannot enjoy them (the trees) like I used to. ❤

I’ve been buying real trees for probably the last 20 years. Just made the switch to artificial last year really just for the easy set up and clean up since I’m the one that does the entire start to finish. Today was the first time I thought about the poor little birds being displaced every year. Glad I made the switch. 🙂

I love these little birds, and with that great haiku, the little chickadee does appear to be mourning.
We use one of our houseplants (a Norway pine) for our Christmas tree each year.

Great message! I bring in a branch of evergreen from the garden and decorate that.

I’m glad I switched to artificial last year. I got a huge evergreen candle to burn when I’m missing the scent.
